The latest issue of the Circuit has been out for a few weeks now, and hopefully, you've all had a chance to look at it, if not actually read it from cover-to-back page! It would be great to delve into some of the articles and get your feedback. It's useful for us when we're putting the issues together and provides good feedback for the author. To start, let's look at Neil Davis' article: Fighting in and Around Vehicles. The purpose of this case study is to examine the tragic events that took place in 1988 in Northern Ireland when two British corporals were ambushed and killed by the IRA while in their vehicles. In the article, Neil aims to provide insight into how to respond to real-life incidents involving fighting in and around vehicles. While a lot of this isn't going to apply to the majority of protectors providing corporate protection on a day-to-day basis, it could well affect you when you travel overseas and maybe find yourself on the African continent where your vehicle can quickly become surrounded and the situation can turn hostile with little to no warning. Would love to hear your thoughts on this subject generally and drawing upon anything from your own military or private security experiences.
