This is reminiscent of the Nigel Farage Milkshake incident in Newcastle. It’s worthwhile analysing situations such as these, not to tear the security team apart but to learn from it. Retrospectively, we can always pick fault and criticise, but if your Principal is a public figure it’s going to be very hard to completely eliminate this kind of incident. The slap will have shaken Macron but if this had been a knife or acid attack the outcome and repercussions would have been far worse. First off, does anyone think this could have been avoided with different procedures? And, does anyone use case studies like this to inform their clients or train their security team? http://bit.ly/macronslap
