You (as a solo operator) accompany your UHNW client to a hotel that you’re not familiar with for a unscheduled meeting. They approach the lift and as you’re about to file in they turn and request you wait for them in the lobby and inform you they won’t be long. The door closes and you have no further opportunity for questions. At this point, you’re not too concerned, the threat against your client is low and this behaviour is not too out of the ordinary. Several hours pass of watching the elevator door and your client has not re-emerged. What are your considerations? What do you do, if anything?
